Welcoming Our Little Champ Ilamparthi
Master A R Ilamparthi, our very own Chess prodigy, participated in the Asian Youth Chess Championships held at Tashkent, Uzbekistan (April 1 – 10) and won medals in all the 3 categories (Under-8), viz., Rapid, Classic & Blitz.
- In ‘Rapid’ games, he secured Gold (He won all the 7 rounds)
- In ‘Classic’ games, he bagged Silver (Won 6, 2 draws and lost only in the 9th round)
- In ‘Blitz’ games, he won Gold (8 wins and 1 draw)
